There is no darkness like my night
no light like what I see
and where the darkness meets the light
that's where I long to be.
There is no sorrow like my nightmares
no love to shelter me
and where the love dissolves all sorrow
that's where I long to be.
And peace will keep me in Thy arms
and wars won't set us free
it's where my peace can heal all wars
that I so long to be.
And that all children smile their tears
with rays that cover me
that old men weep in love of Thee
that's what I long to see.
